The Cape Town Diaries – Week 5

Unfortunately, the wind hasn’t been as co-operative this week, so our team has been making the most of the stunning scenery, with visits to Muizenberg, the surf beach, followed by a scenic drive along Chapmans Peak, offering breathtaking views, especially of Kommetjie beach and Hout Bay.

In other news, the FPT competition witnessed some exciting moments with the double elimination round at Paternoster with Mikey, taking on the role of one of the judges again. Jamie Howard’s impressive performance despite the light wind secured him 5th place, his best result yet. With Paternoster conveniently close to Langebaan, our crew took the opportunity to stay overnight, extending their kiting visit into the next day.

Fortunately, the winds picked up again later in the week in Blouberg, giving everyone the chance to hit the water either windsurfing or kiting until sunset. Whilst it began as a busy day on the water by the evening the number of people on the water died down giving Mikey a chance to try some bigger jumps.
